In the autumn of 2006 I was assigned to work as an interpreter for a tunnel construction firm in Spain. I was responsible for the good understanding between the Bulgarian and the Spanish working teams on the field. So, I’ve spend about four mounts living and working with the workers. Normally at this kind of building sights the there are 3 turns - each of 8 hours and three teams turning. But our case was different - it was quite a hard work, because the turns was of 12 hours each and two teams. Very little sleep and for me as an interpreter no free ways, because I was the only person speaking Spanish. So when the workers had holidays I was with them at the hospital. If someone was injured, at the police to do the papers and so on. During these 3 or 4 mounts I saw how hard and difficult was their (and mine) everyday life written all over their faces. So, I’ve documented their daily life at the house or on the working field.
